Learn Spanish: Higher Education and Perfect Modals

Perhaps you are a college student or are thinking about going to college. Or maybe you’ve already obtained a college degree and would like to learn Spanish to further your career. The purpose of this course is to help you gather vocabulary pertaining to university life. Be able to identify people on campus and become more familiar with the terminology and definitions of selected university degrees.

After mastering the vocabulary section, this course focuses on two key grammar points. First, you will review the present perfect tense, known as the ‘pretérito perfecto compuesto’ in Spanish. You will learn to conjugate verbs using the present perfect tense and distinguish the difference between the present perfect and the simple past tense. The second grammar point will discuss perfect modals and will teach you to use perfect modals to show regret, judgment, possibility, ability, and draw conclusions.

Finally, in the student practice section, you will have the opportunity to complete activities designed to enhance your reading comprehension, listening, and speaking skills using your newly acquired Spanish skills.
