Residential Childcare for Disabled Children

Disabilities in children usually come as sad news to families. There is often a grieving process before acceptance and a decision to embrace the challenge in the best possible way. Residential child care allows vulnerable children to live with and receive care from caregiving professionals. We discuss the aims of these services, the duties and responsibilities of staff and the key principles that govern these facilities. The course examines the continuous assessments carried out to obtain information and monitor certain areas of a child's knowledge, behaviour, skills and progress.
